Predestination and Reprobation
1. God does all things to be glorified and exalted.
2. God creates two kinds of people – the elect and the reprobate.
3. Peter likens the reprobate as brute beasts made to be taken and destroyed (2 Peter 2:12).
“Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?” (Romans 9:21)
“For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.” (Romans 11:36)
“I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn. He that is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease. The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth abundantly. But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee: Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.” (Job 12:4-10)
