——————–
By and large, the more a man begins to see of the awesome holiness and gracious goodness of God Almighty, the more that man wants to close his mouth and behold Christ.
Many have thought outward noise is the proof of inward peace, but often that outward noise reveals an empty heart.
There is no greater joy for a sinner, saved by the grace of God, than to be made to quietly contemplate Him.
A redeemed sinner knows a little about his own nature and realizes that his natural tendency is to make foolish noise that only brings glory unto himself. How prone we are to draw attention to ourselves.
May we be brought down from our lofty pedestal.
