The Smell of The Gospel

“…thy nose is as the tower of Lebanon which looketh toward Damascus.”
(Song of Solomon 7:4)

——————–

Graced (by the Holy Ghost) with true faith, the bride of Christ is divinely sensitive to the evil which doth so easily beset her.

She smells the foul odor of compromise in the preaching of grace mixed with works.

A believer longs after the sweet smell of the message that sets forth Christ only, grace only, and the scriptures only.

There are many places in this world where truths are proclaimed, but how few places there are where a redeemed sinner can sit and hear a message of The Truth Himself, and in that message only smell the smell of the savour of life.
