Willfull Ignorance

Contrary to popular opinion, I believe that man’s ignorance of truth is a willing Ignorance.

The Scriptures declare that men love darkness rather than light and enjoy the pleasures of sin.

This is evident when men hear the truth and hate it.

Only a work of almighty grace in the heart will cause one to believe, bow to, and love the Gospel.

The good news of the Gospel, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, will only be good news to the heart of a sinner when God awakens him to the glories of Christ and the sinfulness of his sin. Otherwise, he will remain in darkness and ignorance because he loves it there.
