“The Simplicity That Is In Christ”

“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”
(2 Corinthians 11:3)

The basis of all security in salvation is found in the person of Christ Jesus.

Any thought or motive apart from Him and His finished work (by His fulfillment of God’s eternal covenant) is to depart from the hope of salvation.

Men by nature may sincerely strive for morality, hoping to establish a righteous standing before God, but to miss the way of God’s deliverance from bondage, by the imputation of a sinner’s guilt to Christ (the only meritorious Substitute), and the imputation of that Substitute’s righteousness to that sinner, is to miss the simplicity of Christ.
