Christ – The Word

When I behold the beauty in nature, I can confess the existence of God. The wonder of the Almighty handiwork is displayed in myriad examples of beauty. Breathtaking sunsets, awe inspiring oceans, and picturesque displays of starlit nights give merely a hint of His wonderful power, but oh, what nature conceals.

True, it manifests His power, tells of His wisdom, and exhibits His immutability.

But what about His justice, His holiness, His grace, and His love?

Can a man have God’s heart revealed through nature?

NO!

He is unknown in his moral attributes except in one way, “The only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him” (John 1:18).

A word is a medium by which a thought is expressed.

Christ as the Word is the manifestation or expression of the invisible God.

Christ as the Word has revealed God’s purpose to show mercy to a people that knew Him not.
