Is There a Lost Tribe of Israel?
The fact is, there simply is no lost tribe of Israel.
That is something concocted by critics of the Bible.
What they say is that when the Syrians destroyed the northern nation of Israel, which comprised ten of twelve tribes, those ten tribes were taken away and so they were somehow lost.
However, the remnants from those ten tribes did join with the two tribes did join with the two tribes to the south, Judah and Benjamin, and became part of the nation of Judah. Eventually, it was conquered and destroyed by Babylon in 587 BC.
Then in the year 539 BC, the remnants that were left from Babylon’s assault on Israel returned to Jerusalem, and so, ever since then, there have been some from each tribe who still were part of Israel.
There is no such thing as a lost tribe.
