Must a New Temple Be Built Before the End Comes?
Many teach that the end of the world cannot come until a new temple is built in Jerusalem.
The problem is, when they read about a new temple to be built before the end of time, they fail to realize that Jesus spoke in parables.
What they are looking for, though, is something that the Bible will not allow!
Nowhere does the Bible say that the physical temple in Jerusalem will be rebuilt!
When the Bible talks about a new temple, it is talking about the body of Christ.
We read in Ephesians 2:20-22, for instance:
Ephesians 2:20
And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
Ephesians 2:21
In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
Ephesians 2:22
In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
The temple is built by people becoming saved.
When the last of the elect has become saved, the city will have been completed.
Jesus is LORD!
