“The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him”, and His covenant is to make them know it (Psalm 25:14).
When this is known and felt, the desire of the soul is after Him and Him alone.
When Christ is seen in His beauty, grace, and suitability, our hearts pant after Him.
He is our hope, our longing, expectation, and desire; nothing but Himself will satisfy.
And even though the world, the flesh, and the devil are dead set against us, and trouble brings my poor heart to ache, yet my cry is “whom have I in heaven but Thee? and there is none upon earth I desire beside Thee” (Psalm 73:25).
