The Steadfastness of Your Faith in Christ

“…For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.”
(Colossians 2:5)

The steadfastness of your faith in Christ.

Oh, for faith like that!

This is a faith that clings to God no matter what. It is a faith that continues on even thru various obstacles and challenges.

Steadfast faith is not developed, strengthened and proved without adversity. Rather, adversity builds up the muscles of a steadfast faith. Trials put faith to work. Great examples of a steadfast faith are those like Joseph, Abraham, Daniel, Anna the prophetess, and the Apostle Paul.

Seek to develop a faith that doesn’t quit and a faith that perseveres. This is not faith in faith. But the object of faith is a steadfast God. Look today to the Author of your faith and ask for a faith that is more steadfast.
