Good one with the world. The Lamb was for the world of heavenly Jewry. If John the Baptist had said “Behold the man that taketh away the sin of the world,” in stead of “Lamb,” then the world would be meant, Christ taking away the sin of the entire world. Lamb synonimous with Jewry, sacrificed for those who are the true Jews (Rom.2.28,29), within the heavenly Israel of God.
